Will you help Jetta?
Meet Jetta! This beautiful girl was born in our rescue to Momma Roxie in October of 2009. She was adopted by a wonderful family that would do ANYTHING for her! You see, Jetta has a congenital defect of her front tibias (upper part of her front legs) that are too long. It is very painful for her to walk. They love her so much!! In fact they have already sought multiple opinions, traveled to Manhattan for 2 surgeries for Jetta, and spent over $4,000 for this sweet, amazing girl!
However, one surgery was not completely successful. Jetta is currently on pain medication and anti-inflammatory meds that are hurting her stomach causing her to vomit daily. She has become very uncomfortable and she is only 17 months old. If she does not have the surgery re-done, the vet has told her that it would be best to put her down so she does not live in misery. The family cannot afford another surgery and we want to help! It is only $1500 and I know we can raise that!! Would you consider helping this family save Jetta and give this puppy the life she deserves?!?
Let's RALLY rescue friends and supporters!! Even $5 will help and every dollar is going to this family to save Jetta from having to be put down! Thank you!!

SNOW! And COLD!!
Are your dogs having as much fun with the snow as Snickers and my dogs are? Snickers doesn't stay out a long while with the cold that has come through, but she loves to run with my Hannah-doodle. Of course the batteries went dead in my camera Monday, and I haven't gotten out to replace them yet, so I don't have pictures of them playing. So I apologize for the web photo.
I know I am preaching to the choir here, knowing all our dogs are snuggled warm in our homes at night. If you know of anyone that leaves their dog outside during these cold winter days and nights, there are organizations that can help. They can offer dog houses, igloos, straw, food, and fresh water. No More Homeless Pets has a new outreach program in KC. There is also an amazing group called Chain of Hope. Please check out these two organizations if you'd like to help during this awful cold!! I'm sure we could research and find others that would be willing to help in other locations.
